Two words we hear and say all the time, but words that can carry so much meaning.

Kia ora can be a greeting, an acknowledgement, a thank you, a way of showing care, or simply a way of recognising another person. It is a small reminder that the person in front of you is seen.

This print was created around the idea of bringing that feeling into our whare.

Our homes are where so much of life happens: where we raise our tamariki, welcome our whānau, share kai, tell stories, laugh, learn and create memories. They are also places where we can make space for te reo Māori to live naturally.

You don't have to be fluent. You don't need to know all the words. Sometimes it starts with one.

The more we see and hear te reo in our everyday lives, the more normal it becomes - especially for our tamariki growing up in these whare.
